Do you work? What do you do? Got to love well meaning small talk. Well it really depends on your definition of work. I class myself as a full time mum, part time employee.
Jump out of bed at the crack of dawn, rush to paid work, then at the end of the working day rush home to start my totally unpaid job which really only ends when I close my eyes to go to sleep!
Juggling the two can be difficult sometimes, especially with a sick child or a tight deadline to meet. You feel like you need to prove yourself, like growing and birthing a mini human suddenly makes you think you need to do more… more with life, with free time, with family, with work.
Do you think parents are ever ‘off work’? Or do we only rest when we get a few stolen hours sleep before our little ones wake to start a new day?
